Ronald Court, President
It may be that the seeds of Ronald Court's personal commitment to preserve and promote the vision and values of Booker T. Washington were planted at his graduation from Boston University in 1965. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered the commencement address that day, warning us that ...:
"We must all learn to live together as brothers, Mr. Court served in Vietnam (1LT) and was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge and Bronze Star. Upon returning to civilian life, he began an entrepreneurial career, primarily in real estate brokerage, management and development. He has also taught at Champlain College in Burlington, VT. He was a Founding Director & Treasurer of "Vermonters for Educational Choice," a state-wide organization dedicated to preserving the tradition of school choice in Vermont and of enlarging the right of parents to choose the public, private, home-school or faith-based education they deem most appropriate for their children. He has served his community as Officer and Board Member of the Burlington VT Boys & Girls Club and of the Burlington Rotary Club. He has also served as an elected Trustee of The Essex Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, and of the Village of Essex Junction. He lives in Essex Junction, Vermont. His twin sons, Alexander & Barnaby, now grown, continue to inspire and delight him. *Dr. King also spoke at Oberlin College's Commencement that year. Read it here.
