*Each Booker T. Washington Society Ambassador Scholar will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to further their post high-school (college, trade or vocational) education along with a trip to Washington DC with one parent (or mentor) to the Society's "Celebrate BTW '06" conference on April.2-5.

The Society's annual 'Celebrate BTW' conference is held to honor the 1856 birth of a great American, Dr. Booker T. Washington. Ambassador Scholars and their parent/mentors meet and learn from notable speakers at lunch, dinner and panel discussions and enjoy special treats: a visit to The AA Soldiers of the Civil War Museum and a dinner cruise & Washington tour along the Potomac.
